Though I probably should point out that I'm not a die hard Brucie fan (I can happily take or leave him, I don't even watch strictly!)

I just really get on one when someone with ideas WAY above their station start mouthing off about others simply to further their own career. If you didn't know better you'd think that he'd consider himself suitable for the role.

A Murdock talking about independent news media now that really is something to chew/choke on ! My understanding of the Murdock empire is that they want to control all national newspapers, television and now radio.
THIS IS THE MURDOCK NEWS COMING TO YOU FROM THE MURDOCK EMPIRE IN NEW YORK.

BBC radio broadcasts drama,information,music for people not interested, at least for half an hour in buying or selling. Hurray.

A good lawyer would be able to cram that firing down the throats of the Florida public officials and make them very, very embarrassed that they would do such a thing. Especially with the US Bill of Rights and all that.

Meanwhile, in Canada, if a public official was found out to be married to a porn star, our collective reaction would be "Canada has porn stars???". :D

Seriously, though, Canadians wouldn't have a problem with it. More than 30 years ago a federal cabinet minister was revealed to have forged the signature of his married girlfriend's husband so that she could get an abortion. Public opinion was on his side, and he's now a Canadian senator...

Interesting thought... I can't see the difference with porn and prostitution apart from the fact; Like has been mentioned prostitution is more of a 1 on 1 thing. Also prostitution has had a lot of bad press, with all the prostitutes apparently being forced drugs by their pimps and children being taken and forced to work in the trade, whereas porn is seen as beautiful women and the dream job for some... Not always the case in both professions and people need to realise this and be open to both.

Well, my opinion anyway.

I understand that the Americans have promised to look after Mr McKinnon in relation to his needs, but to those (including politicians) who consider this acceptable, may I point out the following.

Nobody in the UK trusts a single politician to be honest with petty cash, in the same way that no one in the UK would want to be caught up in the US penal system, the general consensus is that you get dumped and forgotten and no amount of PR and spin will change that view in many brits (or US citizens for that matter)

Oh yes as someone who knows a few lawyers, I fully support that view, I had no intention to mock the lawyers in this case (best not to as my wife aspires to be one!!!!)

I was thinking more in derision towards this musician who lifted a riff from a famous piece of classical music and then calls it his own
